Jodi Detrick is a seasoned communicator who frequently speaks for various groups and denominations at conferences, retreats, church events, and leadership training venues across the United States. Audiences appreciate her use of humor and the real-life stories she weaves into her messages. And they can relate to her authentic, interactive, down-to-earth style.
When Jodi speaks, expect plenty of laughter, some tear-filled eyes, and more than a few nodding heads and ‘knowing looks’ when her words hit home. But Jodi knows what really counts is not her communication style or a gifted delivery–instead, it’s the combination of powerful biblical truths, open hearts, and God’s presence at work to bring about life-change and renewed hope. That is her ardent prayer and her real goal every time she stands before a group to speak–no exceptions.

It’s been my absolute (and very humbling) privilege to speak to hundreds of groups of all sizes—from just a few to a few thousand—all across America and in other countries. Sometimes I speak to both genders and, at other times, to groups of women who have gathered for a time of spiritual growth and encouragement. I never take even one of these ministry opportunities lightly or for granted. Here is just a smattering of photos from some of my more recent speaking adventures:
I was so honored to be the Commencement speaker for Northwest University (Kirkland, Washington) recently.
Talk about a God-adventure! It was such a joy to speak for a Women’s Conference in The Dominican Republic—and I had the BEST translator to help me. While I was there, I also had the privilege offering a class at UASD, the large university in Santo Domingo (almost 200,000 students), which, by the way, was the first university in the Western Hemisphere, founded in 1538!
Here I am, about ready to get my preach on at the International Church of Barcelona in Spain. This trip was made extra special for me because I was able to bring my 17-year-old grandgirl, Lilia, along. We LOVED Barcelona!!
Don and I always enjoy the opportunity of doing ministry together and we frequently team-speak for churches, marriage retreats, and other events.
It’s so fun to speak for various holiday-themed events! And, hey, Christmas NEVER gets old, nor does the message of hope it offers year-round.
What a delight to accept the invitation to pop in on this beautiful group of women who were meeting together at a coffee shop to study my book, The Jesus-Hearted Woman. Coffee, conversation, and the JHW—doesn’t get much better than that for this girl! 🙂
